The Cloud at your fingertips is created in Alsdorf
Press release from 13.12.2016
Together with Mayor Alfred Sonders and CEO Dr. Christian Coppeneur-Gülz, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new cloud-based WWM Service Hub for Germany takes place.
The digital revolution in live communication
Since the launch of WWMCloud in 2012, more than 10,000 users now plan their trade show appearances and offline marketing campaigns easily and conveniently with the myWWM software. Customers have full access to all resources at all times, from pen inventory to real-time analysis of visitor traffic at the booth. Many well-known, international companies rely on the holistic approach of Event Resource Management (ERM), and as a result WWM now implements over 50,000 marketing measures every year.
Space for innovations
An innovative, cloud-based service hub is being created on 11,000 square meters with 4,500 pallet spaces, commission area and loft-like offices. Glassed-in meeting rooms and a large modern kitchen island, as a central meeting point on the topic of digital transformation in live communication, complete the picture. Coffee corners and lounges underscore the spirit of an innovative Internet company and provide capacity for 50% employee growth. A photovoltaic system, air-source heat pump and sensor-controlled LED lighting ensure balanced energy autonomy. TESLA, the innovator of e-mobility, uses the WWMCloud, so charging stations for e-cars for use by employees are a matter of course. The site is monitored 24 hours a day and offers WWMCloud customers maximum security.
Teamwork at the highest level
Only with extraordinarily committed partners can a construction project of this size succeed from planning to completion within a year. The mayor of Alsdorf, Mr. Alfred Sonders, as well as Mr. Michael Eßers and Prof. Dr. Axel Thomas from the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft StädteRegion Aachen mbH paved the way for the rapid implementation. With Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Rainer Dohmen from Valeres Industriebau GmbH in Würselen, the completion of the building is planned by the end of March 2017. Since the cloud is growing steadily and the service hub is starting with 90% capacity utilization, a further construction phase is already being planned for 2018.
