WWM wins the AC2 Innovation Award

WWM GmbH & CO. KG has been awarded the coveted AC2 Innovation Prize for its ExpoCloud® platform. The digital business model complements conventional trade show construction through performance-oriented uncovering of optimization potential. A clear statement on WWM's digital pioneering work in the live communications industry.


Award ceremony - Global innovation honored regionally

More than 500 guests from regional business and politics gathered in the Coronation Hall of the city of Aachen to attend the award ceremony. After the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, who highlighted the innovation density of the Aachen city region, there was the laudation by city region councilor Helmut Etschenberg. ExpoCloud® convinced the 23-member jury as a holistic solution with which companies of all sizes and industries can plan, execute and analyze their live communication measures at the push of a button. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart presented the coveted prize, in the form of a sculpture, to Dr. Christian Coppeneur-Gülz, Managing Director of WWM.



Development - Growth through digital transformation

Since the foundation of WWM GmbH & Co. KG in 1977, WWM has been involved in the construction of exhibition stands and the rental of exhibition systems. Dr. Christian Coppeneur-Gülz took over his father's business in 2005 and defined digital leadership in the live communications industry with Vision 2020. Today, more than 6,000 event managers use the ExpoCloud® platform to manage and evaluate more than 60,000 live marketing activities annually. In 2016, the WWM Lab was established in a former warehouse where developers work on new software modules according to the principle "Fail, Learn, Repeat". For successful live marketing, WWM employs 80 people at three locations in Germany.


Innovation – Event-Resource-Management

ExpoCloud® is the leading event resource management (ERM) platform for planning, executing and analyzing live marketing measures, such as international trade fair and event participation with modular exhibition stands or sales-oriented advertising material handling. Event managers plan their exhibition stands online in 3D and can visually display exhibition systems, rental furniture, their own equipment and exhibits here, independent of suppliers. This shortens the company's internal planning time immensely. The trade fair presentation is ordered in the software, with optional event logistics as well as set-up, catering or even directly with the corresponding advertising materials, as in an online store. The "trade fair stand at the push of a button" is cleaned and stored after the event and is thus available on demand for the next external presentation.


Pioneering work - measurability in live marketing

To analyze the events, the performance data of the visitor flows are available in real time in the ExpoCloud® Insights app in addition to the economic key figures already during an event. The number, length of stay and proportion of returning trade fair visitors are available as KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) graphically over time for evaluation, as with Google Analytics for website analysis. Using the data collected in compliance with the DSG-VO with the Event Metrics Sensor technology, all events can be compared. In the course of the ever more numerous and target group-specific event formats, this is a long-term strategic competitive advantage to strengthen one's own position in the market. Event managers receive a solid database to answer questions such as which exhibit, which booth concept and which trade show participation is most efficient on an ad-hoc basis. The attractiveness of digital LED trade show walls can also be clearly evaluated on the basis of the performance data.
