How would you like to have more space available at your next trade fair without having to book a larger stand?
A double-decker trade fair stand makes this possible. Instead of renting valuable additional square meters at high cost, you can simply use the existing stand space more intelligently: vertically.
A double-decker booth creates additional usable space and opens up new possibilities for your brand presentation. Whether presentation areas on the upper level, discreet meeting rooms with privacy, an exclusive lounge area, or additional space for product highlights. With a second level, you increase both your presence and the comfort for your visitors.

A second level creates intelligent retreats for personal conversations, workshops, or presentations. While the ground floor focuses on open dialogue and product presentations, the upper floor can be used specifically for confidential consultations or hospitality.
This creates an inviting environment for structured visitor interaction without different usage scenarios interfering with each other.
The spatial separation not only offers design advantages, but also optimizes internal processes:
Your team works more efficiently, discussions are more focused, and presentations can take place independently of the general flow of visitors.
A double-decker exhibition stand is effective even from a distance. The additional height attracts attention in the often visually dense exhibition environment and acts as an architectural focal point within the hall.
The construction conveys:
This makes your brand not only visible, but also spatially tangible – a decisive factor for a lasting trade fair presence.
A double-decker is often equated with doubling the floor space. In fact, depending on the design and standard specifications, the realistic space gain is around 30–80%.
Staircases, supports, and safety-related components take up part of the floor space. Nevertheless, the additional space gained remains one of the most efficient ways to get more usable space out of an existing stand concept, especially in the case of cost-intensive hall space.

Modular double-decker systems now enable significantly more efficient implementation than traditional custom designs:
Reusable modules, reduced waste volumes, and a resource-saving construction method also allow the double-decker exhibition stand to be integrated sustainably into modern exhibition concepts.
Despite all its advantages, a two-story design brings with it additional requirements:
However, with forward-looking planning, these aspects can be specifically taken into account and reliably implemented.
Our project for Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA at A+A Düsseldorf shows how a double-decker trade fair stand can be used in practice.
Here, a two-story stand architecture was realized that integrated both open presentation areas and protected communication areas. The double-decker construction formed the basis for clear visitor guidance and enabled the parallel presentation of different solution areas within an industrial application scenario.
You can find out more about the entire stand concept in the detailed case study: Case study: Customized exhibition stand at A+A for Dräger.
A two-story exhibition stand is not purely an architectural decision, but a strategic one. It creates new spaces for communication, improves internal processes, and increases the visibility of your brand without having to book additional hall space.
Those who integrate the gain in height into the overall and communication concept at an early stage make optimal use of every square meter and lay the foundation for a successful trade fair appearance.
